Marcialonga Stars

Marcialonga means sport, emotion and tradition. The event since 2001 has linked its brand to a challenge that goes far beyond the most difficult sporting achievements: the fight against cancer.

Marcialonga Stars intends to connect the name of Marcialonga with an important charity event, supporting LILT of Trento ONLUS (Lega Italiana per la Lotta contro i Tumori – Italian Association for the Fight against Cancer): this is a foundrising moment that aims to inform people about this topic. 

PARTICIPATION

Everyone who wants to help supporting LILT may particpate in the event.
Notorious people from different fields such as sport, politics, journalism, business and show business, will be gathered together for a day dedicated to sport and charity purposes. It will be an occasion of joy and celebration with cheerful exchanges among old and new friends.
The event format is that of an easy and non-competitive race either on skis or snowshoes.

FUNDRISING

Every year an important sum of money is collected, which is used to buy new equipment, to support special therapies, to imply the projects of the centre for Proton Therapy of Trento and to help the reception centre for children and families during therapies. 

COURSE

Just few kilometers (1,5 km) in the Cross Country Ski Stadium in Lago di Tesero, easy to run with skis or snowshoes
