The people engaged in the various race services before, during and after the race are volunteers who work together with passion and dedication for the best success of the event. Respectful behavior is required of them.

INFO BEFORE THE RACE:

ABOUT SEEDING AND THE STARTING NUMBER

The starting number is automatically given on the basis of the competitor's best placement at the Marcialonga in the last two years, with a calculation taking into account the ranking and the number of competitors (ranking x 100 ÷ starters).
The result is a percentage and on the regulation at point 5 you can see the correspondence between percentage and starting group. To check your percentage, enter your name and surname on the page MY RESULTS >
The result at the Marcialonga takes precedence over any other result.
Only in case of first participation or a result before the last two years, results in other Worldloppet and Ski Classics 2023-2024 races can be evaluated according to the SEEDING TABLE >>
In case of results prior to the last two years, Marcialonga may evaluate the races of the year 2022 by adding a group.
The percentage obtained in the Marcialonga Light is taken into account for those registering for the first time in the 70 km, adding two groups.

RESERVATION AND PURCHASE OF USEFUL SERVICES

- BUS TO THE START

The dedicated service for competitors is by reservation only. Departure points or time are specified in the TABLE (click >>).
Please note: BUS reservation is available only from 16th December until Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Competitors who book the "BUS DEPARTURE" service will receive an email with the electronic ticket on Friday, January 17, 2025.
Instead, competitors who reach the start by car can show their bib envelope as a pass in case of closed roads and for dedicated parking.

- T-SHIRT FINISHER AND/OR DIPLOMA

The DIPLOMA is the certificate of participation complete with split times. The cost is €x.
The FINISHER T-SHIRT is the personalized T-shirt with the race time and is available in women's or men's versions. The cost is x€.
It is possible to purchase the DIPLOMA + T-SHIRT package for x€.
When purchasing online you can choose:
- shipping home: shipping costs will be requested
- "Ritiro in sede / Pick up in store": shipping costs will NOT be charged and merchandise can be picked up at Palafiemme in Cavalese on Sunday, January 26 and Monday, January 27. Diploma and t-shirt can also be purchased at the race office (Palafiemme in Cavalese), Thursday, January 23 through Saturday, January 25.

- SKI WAXING SERVICE (the service is limited to 100 pairs of skis).

Skis must be delivered to the race office (Palafiemme in Cavalese) on Thursday, January 23 and Friday, January 24, 2024 (skis cannot be delivered on Saturday). Prepared skis must be picked up on Sunday morning in Moena in the start area at the designated stand.

It is a personal document on which to apply the official stamp of all completed Worldloppet races.

RACE OFFICE / BIBS COLLECTION

Bibs and race packs are distributed at the Cavalese Race Office (Palafiemme - Via Fratelli Bronzetti, 64) on the following days:

Thursday, January 23 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday, January 24 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 25 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The race packet is delivered only during the distribution hours and is not sent home.

REQUIRED DOCUMENT:

- ID CARD
In case of withdrawal of the number for another competitor, it is necessary to present this document.

HOW TO WEAR THE BIB

A chip is attached inside the bib to record the start and finish time and intermediate passes. The chip is located on the back, so any backpack should be worn under the bib so as not to compromise its use. The chip is disposable so there is no need to return it at the finish.

GO TO THE START

On Sunday morning, the road will be temporarily closed between Predazzo, Loc. Trampolini and San Giovanni Sèn Jan di Fassa, Costalunga junction. Competitors can go to the start by using their own car and showing their bib envelope on the dashboard, which is valid as a pass.

Only competitors who have made a reservation and show the appropriate ticket can use the BUS service.

FLUOR BAN

Marcialonga is FIS race, so fluor waxes are banned.

CLOTHES BAG

Inside the technical bib envelope is a plastic-coloured bag. Please insert your backpack or change-over clothes into the bag and tie the bag properly. The number sticker, that you find inside the bib envelope, must be affixed to the bag.

In the start area, give the bag to the staff at the Equipment Storage Point (Please do not leave any valuables in the bag. The organizers are not responsible for items left unattended elsewhere. Any item or bag left into the gate and CANNOT be retrieved).
You will find the bag at the arrival.

STARTING AREA AND GROUPS

Access to the starting gates is allowed only after the check-in (from 7 a.m.) and verification that the competitor is wearing the bib and that the number corresponds to the starting group (in case of starting in an earlier group, a time penalty will be applied according to the rules).

The start of the ELITE group is scheduled at 8:00 am. This will be followed by the start of the various groups at the times explained in table at point 5 of the race rules.

Compared to previous editions, the opening times of the groups have been lengthened to allow for more runoff. Nevertheless, the opening times may be postponed in case of queues in the first sections of the track.

FEEDING STATIONS

Feeding stations are provided along the course stocked with drinks and snacks (see profile map).

To protect the environment, dumping of waste outside the dedicated containers is forbidden. The OC is authorised to disqualify (or penalize) the competitors who do not respect this rule.

TECHNICAL SERVICE (BROKEN POLES) AND WAXING

No waxing service in the starting area.
Waxing points and technical service points where damaged equipment (poles or skis) can be replaced are marked on the profile map. Officials will mark the bib number on the equipment. Equipment provided and used in the race must be returned at the arrival.

One's damaged equipment can be picked up at the Palafiemme Cavalese, Sunday, Jan. 26 from 5 p.m. or Monday, also at the Palafiemme, from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

COMPETITORS WITHDRAWN FROM THE RACE

Competitors who, for non-health reasons, do not continue the race can take advantage of the free scheduled Trentino Trasporti BUSES (by showing the bib) departing from every village in the Fiemme and Fassa valleys (BUS STOP).

IN CASE OF INJURY

For competitors in need of medical care, it is recommended the EHIC (please read more >).
An emergency telephone number (ICE) is requested when registering, so that relatives can be contacted in case of need.

BUS

Buses for competitors after the finish to return to the various villages in the Fiemme and Fassa valleys are available free of charge and do NOT require reservations.

BUSES leave from the Predazzo Bus Station (45km finish) and the Cavalese Bus Station (70km finish) until 7 p.m.

SHOWERS

Showers are available for the competitors at the CAVALESE POOL (PISCINA COMUNALE) from 12.30 until 6.30 p.m.

PASTA PARTY

The pasta-party is for competitors only and is located at the PALAFIEMME in Cavalese from 12.30 until 6.30 p.m.
There is post-race refreshment and sandwich at the finish of the Marcialonga Light.

PICK UP DIPLOMA, FINISHER T-SHIRT, WORLDOPPET STAMP

You can pick up your diploma and finisher t-shirt and apply the worldloppet stamp to your passport at the PALAFIEMME OF CAVALESE on Sunday or Monday (from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m)

DAMAGED EQUIPMENT COLLECTION AND LOST&FOUND POINT

One's equipment damaged in the race and replaced at official points can be picked up at the CAVALESE PALAFIEMME on Sunday starting at 5 p.m. or on Monday, also at the Palafiemme, from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

At the PALAFIEMME it will be possible to claim any lost items or bring items found along the route.

The flower ceremony will be held after the arrival of the top 3 male and female finishers.
The official award ceremony of the Marcialonga Light 45km will be held in Predazzo in the finish area at 11:30 am.
The official award ceremony of the 52nd Marcialonga will be held in Cavalese, Piazza Scopoli at 4 p.m. Will be called to the stage:

HOW TO FOLLOW THE COMPETITORS IN THE RACE

It is possible to see the transit of the competitors and cheer in all the villages of the Fiemme and Fassa valleys.

For those who follow the competitors from a distance, a link is made available where you can check some of the "passage points" of the competitors along the route: Canazei, Predazzo, Cascata, Cavalese arrival.

PERSONAL PHOTO SERVICE AND VIDEO OF THE ARRIVAL

Arrivals will be posted LIVE on the Marcialonga Facebook page and can also be viewed after the race.

The personal photo service will be provided by ENDUpix. Using facial recognition technology, ENDUpix will automate and speed up the matching of photos. Photos will be immediately available on the ENDU website and app.
